12 Delayed 2021 Movies That Really Weren't Worth The Wait

1. Fast And Furious 9

Sensibly, Fast and Furious 9 was immediately pushed back to 2021 rather than to a later 2020 date, which meant that it wasn't delayed several additional times unlike many other films. That's one of the few good decisions made in regards to F9, which is honestly a cinematic car wreck that goes against everything that made the last few F&F movies work.

The previous few films had charming and hilarious screenplays, infectious cast chemistry and exhilarating action sequences that were absolutely ridiculous, but not so much so that any sense of tension was lost.

In contrast, this has a terrible script, the characters aren't nearly as fun as normal and the action sequences are both boring and so stupid (even by this franchise's standards) that it's impossible to get invested in them.

Additionally, the villains suck, any sense of stakes has been lost and the movie's attempts at emotional content are painful to watch due to how badly written and forced all of those scenes are.

This would always have been disappointing but the extended wait made it even worse in the end and it's definitely the worst film delayed by Covid... so far.

Remember, next year we're going to get many more movies that have been delayed. Let's hope none of them are as awful as this.
