This is it. The end. The final chapter, the final episode of the Skywalker saga that has spanned 42 years. The Rise Of Skywalker will close the main saga book on the Skywalker story and as if Star Wars films were not event worthy enough, that caveat adds another level of anticipation.

This trilogy of movies has been divisive to say the least, with The Last Jedi especially tearing a fandom apart. Speaking as a fan of this franchise here is hoping The Rise Of Skywalker is enough to bring every Star Wars fan together for what is sure to be a fantastic film.

From the trailer to the images to the seeming return of Emperor Sheev Palpatine himself there is nothing to suggest that J. J. Abrams is not about to deliver an outstanding wrap up to the Skywalker story.

Seeing where our heroes are and are going, learning about the Knights of Ren, further examining Kylo and his instability, the intrigue surrounding this movie is huge and the excitement is there to match. If there is any movie that will dominate the mainstream, the box office and the channels of conversation over the next few months it is The Rise Of Skywalker and everyone should enjoy the ride.
