12 Films You've Never Heard Of With 100% On Rotten Tomatoes

1. Christmas, Again (2015)

The Film: Written, directed, and produced by hands-on filmmaker Charles Poekel, this Yuletide drama follows a heartbroken Noel as he returns to New York City for a fifth consecutive year to work the graveyard shift at a pop-up Christmas tree lot. With a lack of festive spirit to call upon for comfort, Noel is soon sucked into a downward spiral of depression, though some colourful customers and his rescuing of a mysterious damsel in distress could be enough to pull him from the brink of self-destruction.

What The Rotten Tomatoes Critics Said: A total of 14 Rotten Tomatoes reviewers conspired to give Christmas, Again the perfect score, hailing it as a delicate and restrained film that offers the messages of redemption and renewal we so often crave from a Christmas movie without wrapping its themes and characters in tinsel. The knowledge that writer/director Poekel used to work the night shift on a sidewalk Christmas tree lot seemed to make the emotion on show in his debut film more palpable, and this was definitely the case for Rotten Tomatoes Top Critic Scott Pfeiffer:

"Crafted with affection and attentive to workaday rhythms, this first feature from writer-director Charles Poekel demonstrates an authentic feel for the neighbourhood, where he himself once sold trees."
