6. The Gentlemen

Guy Ritchie may not have succeeded with King Arthur a couple of years ago, but his adaptation of Aladdin is easily one of the most underrated films of 2019 and deserved even more praise than it eventually got. The real issues with that movie came down to marketing.

Next up and strangely without a great deal of fanfare so far, Ritchie has upcoming crime comedy The Gentlemen, which will return him to his Lock, Stock & Two Smoking Barrels roots. He knows how to do stylish small-time crime movies and this tale of a British druglord trying to sell his weed empire to American billionaires sounds great.

On top of the promise of Ritchie going back to what he knows best, the cast includes Charlie Hunnam, Colin Farrell, Matthew McConaughey and rather delightfully Hugh Grant, so there's lots to be excited about.
