4. Wasting Amazing Actors
It's staggering how many wonderful actors have been wasted in mediocre, even throwaway MCU roles, some examples being Sam Rockwell and Mickey Rourke (Iron Man 2), Natalie Portman (Thor), Jeremy Renner (all the movies), Rebecca Hall (Iron Man 3), Christopher Eccleston (Thor: The Dark World), Lee Pace and Glenn Close (Guardians of the Galaxy), Julie Delpy (Avengers: Age of Ultron), Corey Stoll and Judy Greer (Ant-Man), Martin Freeman, Hope Davis and Alfre Woodward (Captain America: Civil War), and Rachel McAdams (Doctor Strange).
That's just naming a few. At least Kurt Russell has a marquee role in GOTG2 so probably won't get wasted, though it remains to be seen how much will be made of Sylvester Stallone and Tommy Flanagan as a Nova Corps member and a Ravager respectively. Hopefully they won't be thrown in there for a quick cameo and hastily desposed of.
