12 More Film Characters Whose Deaths Came Out Of Nowhere

6. Truck Driver Man (Rubber)

You know when you're driving and you might venture a little too close to the bank? You might even run or knock something over perhaps? A crisp packet? A plastic bottle? ... A tire? Well the old truck driver in Rubber has to pay the consequences of knocking down the emotionally unstable , psychokinetic, killer ring of rubber. The tire proceeds to pick itself up and follow the truck. It follows the vehicle for miles, until eventually the old man has to pull over and fill up at a gas station. Upon returning to his car, the truck driver finds the tire waiting for him. Staring at him. Judging him. And it's raging. It begins to vibrate, with rage or what? I do not know. But the truck driver's head simply explodes, showering his car with flecks of brain and tissue. BOOM! Out of nowhere, where the hell did that come from? At this point you ask me if I'm being serious and I say to you, go watch it to be believed. I'm sure there's a clip on Youtube. Type in 'Tire explodes man's head' and see what comes up! The rest of the film by Quentin Dupieux, follows through with added absurdity. I can claim I still have no idea what it was about. But any film that has the audacity to cast a tire as it's central antagonist is a film that I deem worthy to write about in any article. Round of applause to Rubber!
