12 Most Disappointing Movies From Summer 2016

8. Now You See Me 2

The Buzz: 2013's Now You See Me is a prime example of a solid movie that totally falls to pieces in its highly unconvincing third act, and fans hoped that a sequel might listen to those complaints. Plus, with Lizzy Caplan and Daniel Radcliffe joining the cast, it's hard not to be at least a little bit intrigued, right?

What We Got: To a point a worthy follow-up to the original movie, packed with imaginative visuals, terrific cast chemistry and a frequently show-stealing turn from Radcliffe. And then it repeated the first movie's mistake.

If you found the original's big reveal too much to handle, prepare to choke on your own bile when this one drops the curtain, because NYSM2's big twist makes what came before seem a whole lot more plausible.

Just when it seemed like this one was going to stick the landing, it opted for something even more audaciously ridiculous, a last-minute fumble that has no doubt left many unable to get hyped about the inevitable Now You See Me 3.
