12 Most Likely Villains For The Next MCU Spider-Man Trilogy - Ranked

2. Scorpion

Tom Holland Venom
Marvel Studios

Speaking of silhouettes in the sky, Scorpion was the third that was clearly defined.

We know that he's still out there, and he still very much wants to kill Spider-Man. Marvel teased him all the way back in Homecoming, and now would be an ideal time to bring him into the light. His comic origins are tied to J. Jonah Jameson, but the films have deviated from this. Initially, he was a private investigator. Here, he's an established criminal. He might get some good publicity from Jameson, though, who still wants Spider-Man's head on a platter.

How, then, might he get a-hold of his high tech suit? Perhaps Vulture's comrade, the Tinkerer, could make a return. Alternatively, maybe that's where Smythe could come in. A third option could see Gargan using a repurposed Doc Ock tentacle, since Octavius lost one of them to Green Goblin during the final battle of No Way Home.

There are plenty of avenues here, and - as previously noted - we might very well see a film where Spider-Man and the Prowler have to join forces to take Scorpion down. Then, of course, there's another possibility - one that ties in yet another villain...
