12 Most Likely Villains For The Next MCU Spider-Man Trilogy - Ranked
1. Venom
The closest thing we have to a guarantee is Venom. He was specifically teased at the end of No Way Home; the symbiote is officially slithering around in the MCU.
It's pretty likely that it'll first latch onto Peter Parker, who - following the deaths of Aunt May and Tony Stark, as well as the world's collective memory of him being wiped out - is in arguably the darkest spot of his life. Think about it. As strong as he tries to be, he's vulnerable right now, and the symbiote will definitely exploit that. The black suit is coming.
Now, will Peter be the villain of his own film? No. Someone else will have to take on the symbiote, but who? Maybe we get an Eddie Brock variant. Maybe we get Tom Hardy coming back, since Venom knows of the multiverse (and possibly how to navigate it). A third possibility sees the symbiote bonding with none other than Mac Gargan's Scorpion. That would be a clean, clever way to circumvent the Eddie Brock problem.
No matter who takes the symbiote, it is here, and it will find someone. Peter Parker's life is about to get a lot more complicated, and a hell of a lot darker.
