12 Movie Scenes You Didn’t Know Were Reshoots
10. The Whole Final Act - Suicide Squad
Yet another entry from the DC film franchise, this time in the bright and colourful image of Suicide Squad, directed by David Ayer - who is currently known for his Netflix original, Bright. It turns out that not only were Warner Brothers mixing the pot over at the Justice League camp, but they were doing pretty much the same with Suicide Squad.
It's unknown how much of Ayer's original film got changed, but we can put some of the pieces together thanks to the strange change in trailers that we got on the build-up to the movie. We know that the whole third and final act of Suicide Squad was altered by the time it reached cinemas.
The film was going to come to some sort of conclusion by having Jared Leto's Joker make a deal with Enchantress. By helping out Cara Delevingne's character, Joker demands his partner back, and to be left alone by the rest of the Squad. The film's director, David Ayer, has been posting images from the original script and storyboard over on his Twitter, in the hopes this his movie will the get the same treatment Zack Snyder's Justice League is getting over at HBO Max.
A soft reboot of the franchise is currently set to hit cinemas in 2021, helmed by James Gunn.
