12 Stupidest Decisions Made By Characters In X-Men Movies

7. Professor X Takes Medicine That Basically Turns Him Into Lieutenant Dan - Days Of Future Past

When Wolverine travels back to 1973, he€™s greeted at the X-Mansion by a drugged-up Charles Xavier. The climate of Vietnam has transformed Xavier. Instead of the inspirational Professor X, he€™s now merged into a listless, British version of Lieutenant Dan from Forrest Gump. But with a less impressive beard. The serum which he shoots up at every opportunity isn€™t your typical upper or downer. Created by Hank McCoy, it allows him the freedom to walk, but it€™s also an ability suppressant. And with his powers stunted, he€™s unable to do anything of value. It also seems that his telepathy is his only redeeming feature, because he also turns into a massive alcoholic and a bit of a d*ck. Combine the two and he renders himself pointless in the grand scheme of things. If he had to engage an enemy in that state, it€™d be a bit like going into battle with rubber bullets. Yes, he doesn't care, but if you take medicine to appear normal, and it turns you into a grumpy recluse, what the hell is the point?
