12 Upcoming Comic Book Movie Performances That Will Kick Ass

7. David Harbour - Red Guardian (Black Widow)

David Harbour's perfect comic book movie casting should have been in Hellboy and while he was well-suited to the role and looked phenomenal as Big Red, the film sucked and the less said about it the better. Luckily, he's got another chance to impress in a role that could ALSO have been written just for him.

He's set to join the Red Room post-graduate programme in Black Widow, which will see him team up with Scarlett Johansson's Natasha as she presumably seeks answers from her past and faces off against Taskmaster. Specifically, he's playing Red Guardian, essentially the Russian version of Captain America, which means we're going to see another role that takes advantage of Harbour's hulking size.

Even more intriguingly, it seems Guardian might actually be on Nat's side, which means a softer, possibly paternal role (there was talk of the Red Room being about a warped family image), so if he's the space between Stranger Things' Hopper and Hellboy, we're in for a treat.
