Release Date: May 27th 2016 After the epic scale of Days Of Future Past, Fox needed to shake things up a bit. Theyd effectively closed Bryan Singers initial story arc with a final appearance for (most of) his original cast, and there was some closure, but the franchise needs to continue beyond the end of that chapter. In the bona-fide event that is Apocalypse, theyve got their answer: a big villain, extinction level threat and a whole new arm of the cast to join the First Class veterans. Why Should You Be Thankful? Oscar Isaac will make a great big bad, and the additions of Olivia Munn, Tye Sheridan and Sophie Turner are all excellent decisions. As is the expansion of Evan Peters Quicksilver role and a new dimension to Michael Fassbenders Magneto, who gets to go full evil again as one of Apocalypses Four Horsemen. Plus anything that washes away theban taste of Fantastic Four is a good thing.
