James Ransone actually has a pretty prolific filmography to his name, yet despite having a notable role in the second season of The Wire and a memorable part in both Sinister films, he's flown pretty under-the-radar over the course of his 17-year career.

That's likely about to change, however, as he's set to play adult Eddie in It: Chapter Two, while bearing an uncanny resemblance to his child counterpart, played by Jack Dylan Grazer.

Considering It's incredible $700 million box office haul, his role in the sequel will place the actor in front of a larger audience than ever before. In conjunction with him appearing in cult thriller Captive State earlier in the year, this should make 2019 a major turning point for his career.

With his good looks and terrific comic timing, it's honestly a surprise he hasn't already blown up big in Hollywood. It's about time.
