13 Best Easter Eggs From The Star Wars Prequels
11. George Lucas Cameo
Director cameos are rife in cinema; half of the joy of working through Alfred Hitchcock's back catalogue is spotting his background appearances. For five entries of his space saga George Lucas had relented, but in Revenge Of The Sith he sat in the make-up chair ready to appear in front of the camera.
He appears alongside his on- and off-screen daughter just outside the opera where Anakin hears the Darth Plagueis story, boasting a blue face and impressive looking hat. The character, who is called Baron Papanoida, has gone on to have his backstory fully fleshed out; he even appeared in an episode of The Clone Wars where he ends up being something of an action hero.
