13 Films You Won't Believe Turn 10 Years Old In 2015

8. Brick

The Movie: Rian Johnson's directorial debut depicts a bespectacled Joseph Gordon-Levitt as a high-school loner investigating his ex-girlfriend's murder. Melding teen drama with film noir tropes and archaic dialogue, Brick is a true original and an outstanding cult classic. Why It Doesn't Feel 10 Years Old: It's pretty insane to think that, in merely a decade, Johnson has gone from directing this $475,000 indie thriller to currently preparing to shoot the $150+ million Star Wars Episode VIII next year. The director has had a strong run of pictures with The Brothers Bloom and Looper following Brick, as well as directing several pivotal episodes of Breaking Bad (especially fan favourite Ozymandias), and so it's safe to say it's been quite the decade for the young director. If Johnson pulls off Star Wars, then the next decade should be even more prosperous.
