3. Benicio Del Toro's Villain - Star Wars Episode VIII

Benicio Del Toro
Universal Pictures

The Role: This role really could go anywhere, but all we know is that Del Toro is playing Episode VIII's core villain, either an underling of Supreme Leader Snoke (Andy Serkis) or someone totally unrelated and in business for himself.

Why You Should Be Excited: The casting for the new Star Wars movies has been pretty much flawless so far, and Del Toro is one of those malleable actors who can play both hero and villain tremendously well.

He's pretty much a dream acquisition for the franchise, and regardless of the nature of his character, he's surely going to give 110% as he almost always does. Hopefully he won't merely be a stop-gap villain to fill the hole until the heroes inevitably take down Snoke in Episode IX, because casting such a fantastic actor for a throwaway part would be nothing short of criminal.
