9. Callum Lynch / Aguilar De Nerha (Michael Fassbender) - Assassin's Creed
The Role: Callum Lynch is a criminal due for execution when he's saved by Abstergo Industries, who use cutting edge technology known as the Animus to tap into Lynch's genetic past and access the memories of his ancestor Aguilar de Nerha, a 15th century assassin during the Spanish Inquisition.
Why You Should Be Excited: It's rare that an actor of Michael Fassbender's caliber agrees to appear in a video game movie, let alone actually star in and produce it. That says a lot about his confidence in the project moving forward, and frankly, it's difficult to resist the prospect of such a talented performer looking to make the first truly good video game movie.
He certainly looks terrific in the period wares playing an entirely new franchise character, and with his Macbeth director Justin Kurzel helming, it should make for an entertaining collaboration.
