The Role: A brilliant but young getaway driver who lands himself in hot water when a botched robbery sends him on the run.
Why You Should Be Excited: It's fair to say that Ansel Elgort hasn't had much of a chance to prove himself to audiences yet, having appeared in only seven movies to date, three of which were entries into the risible Divergent franchise.
If there's any director who can bring the best out of an actor, though, it's Edgar Wright, whose stylish action and extreme filmmaking confidence has won him a legion of dedicated fans.
Wright clearly sees something in him, and given the terrific decisions he's made throughout his career to date, it's easy to give him and Elgort the benefit of the doubt here. This could be a real star-maker for him.
