13 Movies So Awful You Walked Out Of The Cinema
7. Wagons East
Wagons East is a film marked by tragedy. Some five months before it was released, while on a holiday away from the production, star John Candy died in his sleep at the age of just 43. Inevitably, the movie took on huge significance as the last project he'd filmed (his last release was Michael Moore's Canadain Bacon but it was completed earlier).
Imagine being a fan of Candy - a bona-fide comedy legend - going out on the first weekend to see it only to see this poor imitation of Blazing Saddles singularly fail to raise any smiles at all. It's easily Candy's worst film and even now it feels horribly cringe-worthy and puerile.
This was not the start to Candy's legacy that he deserved and it was only right that fans voted with poor ticket sales primarly and disappointed walk-outs secondly.
