13 Movies So Awful You Walked Out Of The Cinema
8. Jack And Jill
He might have found a more captive audience on Netflix - who are willing to pay him to be one of their top tier "creators" - but Adam Sandler has made some absolute stinkers recently. It actually now getting to the point where it feels like he's doing it consciously to make a point, having seen his best films (the likes of Reign Over Me, Punch Drunk Love and Funny People) make no money.
If he was trying to find the perfect formula for idiotic comedy that allowed him to mug, play the man-child and generally not make anyone laugh at all, he found it in 2011 with Jack And Jill.
It's a provocatively poor film, aggressively intent on seeing how many failed gags it can get away with before everyone just holds up their hands in despair and gives up on it. It turns out that it wasn't all that many, given that it's widely considered one of Sandler's absolute low-points and bad enough to walk out of.
