10. 300: Part Three
300 is the film that for better or worse made Zach Snyder and Gerard Butler household names. It was a stylish, blood-soaked adaptation of the comic and the sequel Rise Of An Empire was more of the same. The sequel managed to be a success despite the absence of Butler or Snyder, and the movie ended on a cliffhanger note that made a third movie seem inevitable. If it is then Warner Bros. are in no hurry, and there hasnt been any word of another film coming together since 2014. Series villain Xerxes found himself surprisingly sidelined in Rise Of An Empire, leaving room for Eva Green to dominate, which nobody complained about. The final scene set up one last epic battle to be fought, so the series kind of needs a third entry to finish things off. With the success of the series so far a third part will come together eventually, and who knows, maybe theyll even find a way to bring Leonidas back to life; its not like the story makes much sense anyway.
