13 Silly Mistakes You Won't Believe Made It Into Star Trek Movies
9. Deck Numbers Again
This is both one of the most well-known and egregious errors in the entire Star Trek movie franchise. The deck numbers on the Enterprise-A are completely wrong. They should be descending rather than ascending, the higher that Spock brings McCoy and Kirk.
If you thought we were going in a different direction with this one, that's fair. However, the numbering of the decks on the Enterprise-A goes into the 70s, which is slightly ridiculous. That aside, they are input backwards. The bridge of the ship is always located on Deck 1, with every other deck sinking downward. Therefore, even if there were a ridiculous number of decks, the highest number should be at the bottom of the turboshaft.
In all fairness to Star Trek V though, they really did have enough problems to be getting along with. Director William Shatner was dealing with rock monsters that didn't work and mountains that were turning him on. He simply didn't have the time to consider whether or not the decks were going the right way.
