13 Terrible Looking 2018 Movies That Will Shockingly Make A Profit
9. Life Of The Party
Release Date: May 11
Life of the Party is the third collaboration between star Melissa McCarthy and co-writer-director-husband Ben Falcone, following on from the really quite terrible Tammy and The Boss.
The film sees McCarthy playing a woman who enrolls in college alongside her teenager daughter in an attempt to get over her divorce, and as the trailer makes abundantly clear, there's going to be plenty of low-effort physical comedy McCarthy's lesser movies are typically known for.
If it feels like McCarthy attempting to create her own riff on Todd Phillips' classic Old School, it also doesn't seem anywhere near as witty, funny or charming.
Predicted Box Office: $110 million. Going by the budgets of her previous collaborations with Falcone, this probably didn't cost a penny over $30 million.
Considering that Tammy and The Boss made $100.5 million and $78.8 million respectively, this movie's more accessible concept should make it the most successful of the three.
