13 Terrible Looking 2018 Movies That Will Shockingly Make A Profit

8. Tyler Perry's Acrimony

Acrimony Taraji P Henson
Lionsgate

Release Date: March 30

It's a Tyler Perry movie: what more do you really need to know? The guy hasn't made a single critically Fresh movie in his entire career, so why would he start now?

Acrimony is Perry's attempt to cash-in on the low-rent glut of psychological thrillers - such as When the Bought Breaks, The Perfect Guy, No Good Deed and so on - aimed at "urban" markets, and sees Oscar nominee Taraji P. Henson thoroughly slumming it as a maybe-crazy jilted wife who takes matters into her own hands.

You know what you're getting with movies like this, and it looks utterly, hilariously rancid.

Predicted Box Office: $70 million. Perry keeps his budgets low at around the $20-30 million mark, which combined with Taraji's star power and the consistent success of these B-movie thrillers means this shouldn't have any problem being profitable.
