13 Things That Would Have Happened After 2016 Movies Ended
1. Vader Jumps To Hyperspace - Rogue One
And finally, the surest thing of all. Rogue One's climax sees Darth Vader attempting to secure the Death Star's plans, but they're just barely transmitted to Princess Leia (Carrie Fisher) in time as Vader slaughters an entire hallway full of rebels.
This is an easy set-up for the beginning of A New Hope, even though the seam between the two movies isn't perfect, as it makes Vader and Leia's dialogue at the beginning of A New Hope seem a little awkward.
As for what we don't see between the two movies? Vader leaving the dilapidated rebel ship, returning to the Devastator and the ship entering hyperspeed to catch up with the Tantive IV.
It's still an impressive join even if there's clearly a few minutes of downtime between the end of Rogue One and the beginning of A New Hope, but it still would've been cool to see the Devastator entering hyperspace to chase Leia's ship.
