13 Things You Didn't Know About Friday The 13th Part III

1. The Change To Chris' Previous Jason Encounter

While Friday the 13th Part III's Chris Higgins is shown traumatised by a previous encounter with Jason Voorhees, that encounter was initially intended to be a lot worse.

Originally, Part III called for Chris to have been "sexually violated" by Jason during that encounter. As such, when the character recalls her previous meeting with Voorhees in flashback form, she was to outright state how she'd been sexually assaulted during this attack. When watching the end product, Friday the 13th Part III instead sees that scene play out with some ambiguity as Chris is uncertain on the full details of what had happened.

This change was down to Chris actress Dana Kimell, who got into an argument with director Steve Miner about the need to bring sexual violence into this attack. By the time all was said and done, Kimell clearly won out on this matter.
