14 Announced Movies That Thankfully Got Cancelled

8. Nosebleed

Rush Hour Jackie Chan
New Line Cinema

The Movie: Nosebleed was an action vehicle written for Jackie Chan, with the martial arts legend playing a window cleaner who works at the World Trade Center, and after catching wind of some terrorists preparing to pull off an attack there, springs into action to stop them. Die Hard 2 director Renny Harin was set to helm.

Why It Got Cancelled: The action-comedy, which was in pre-production in 2001, was immediately shelved following 9/11, given the obviously inappropriate nature of the material and a general lack of desire to see movies making light of terrorism.

Though the script was originally going to be revised to change the focal monument to another building, Nosebleed was ultimately scrapped entirely.

Considering how unfortunate it would've been if the film had actually started shooting before these attacks happened, it's certainly lucky that it could be quickly shut down without embarrassing anyone.
