2. Moff Jerjerrod Contemplates Destorying Endor

Where would it be in film? During the final Battle of Endor.

What happens? Have you ever wondered why, once the shield generator was destroyed, the Empire didn't simply destroy Endor? Well, George Lucas was originally going to provide some answer to this query; there's a series of deleted scenes that sees the space station adjusting its rotation ready to blow up the forrest moon. At the centre of all this is Moff Jerjerrod, who, far from being a malicious Imperial, finds himself wrestling with the command; doing so will kill all of the troops on the planet. It's a nice reminder not all of the Empire is pure evil.

Should it have been cut? We can't really see any reason why it shouldn't be in the movie; all it serves to do is increase the tension of the epic final conflict, adding a definitive time condition to proceedings.
