10. Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness

Fantastic Four
Marvel Studios

It's suggested that the concept of the multiverse will first be introduced in WandaVision, which is set to premiere in a matter of weeks on January 15th. From there, Spider-Man 3 will see this concept expanded on further, and then the prospect of alternative Earths and timelines will be back on the table in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

The only plot specifics that we know about this second Doctor Strange film right now, is that Benedict Cumberbatch's Sorcerer Supreme will unleash a twisted, evil presence - please be Dormammu, please be Dormammu, please be Dormammu... - after he begins to tinker with the Time Stone in the aftermath of Avengers: Endgame.

In addition to his trusty pal Wong at his side, the Master of the Mystic Arts will also be joining by Elizabeth Olsen's Scarlet Witch in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness - which again gives credence to the multiverse being at play in the aforementioned WandaVision.

While it was hugely disappointing to see Doctor Strange director Scott Derrickson depart this sequel picture over the ever-familiar "creative differences", the fantastic news is that beloved Evil Dead helmer Sam Raimi is on board as Derrickson's replacement.

Raimi is no stranger to superheroes, of course, with him having helmed his trilogy of Tobey Maguire Spider-Man movies in the 2000s. And while that is a huge plus point, even better is that Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is said to be a film drenched in horror - which is perfectly in the filmmaker's wheelhouse.

At present, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is set for March 2022.
