14 Simple Fixes That Could Have Made Suicide Squad Awesome

2. Let Deadshot Get Away

The Problem

I want a Deadshot spin-off. With him locked up, I can't have that. This is a problem.

The Solution

In all seriousness, Deadshot needed to escape Amanda Waller's clutches at the end of the movie (arguably more than Harley Quinn, in fact) and the easiest solution would be to have him assumed dead.

With Rick Flag making a heroic sacrifice, we could have had a The Rock moment with Deadshot taking the place of Sean Connery and getting a chance to go and see his daughter (please no Pythagoras though, that'd just be silly...) and then disappearing into the night.

That would open up a possible spin-off, or a sub-plot for the second movie, because Will Smith is legitimately still the star of this vehicle and pushing him forward is a no-brainer. It also gives someone even a slight victory over Waller, whose victory at the end would have been better served with a little sweetener.
