Jumanji concludes with the four high-schoolers returning back home and destroying the Jumanji game with a bowling ball, hilariously appearing to trample over any prospect of a sequel.

Well, with the movie closing in on an insane $800 million worldwide, a sequel is most definitely happening, and it'll likely draw from one of the movie's alternate endings.

An original pitched ending saw Jumanji once again transform itself into a new medium of game, this time downloading itself onto the phones of the foursome, which honestly feels like a perfectly logical consequence of the game cartridge being smashed up and having to reconfigure itself.

No matter who actually ends up returning for the sequel, making Jumanji a phone game gives the filmmakers a ton of ammunition to mercilessly skewer the genre and general app culture.
