Why It's Doomed: Though the idea of The Rock playing a primatologist who gets caught in the middle of three over-sized, battling animals - an ape, a wolf and a crocodile - is undeniably amusing, the first trailer for Rampage is, uh, not good.

Based on the iconic video game of the same name, Rampage is walking a razor-thin line between being an entertainingly dumb, so-bad-it's-good classic...and just plain bad.

The awful CGI, cringe-worthy dialogue and generic monster mayhem deny much enthusiasm, especially as the movie's out in three months but you'd barely know it.

Expect a cool 28% on Rotten Tomatoes and a middling box office run, basically.
