15 Actors Who Really Wanted To Be In Comic Book Movies (And Failed)
14. Sean Young Made A Homemade Catwoman Suit
After a promising start to her career with a spate of successful movies like Blade Runner and No Way Out, Mary "Sean" Young picked up the habit of ruffling important feathers with her bizarre behaviour. She irritated Wall Street director Oliver Stone so much that he wrapped her last scene early and had her escorted to the local the bus station.
Despite word of her behaviour spreading throughout Hollywood, Young still managed to land a part opposite James Woods in 1988's The Boost, a forgettable romantic drama. It was her off-screen relationship with Woods that made all the headlines, however - Woods sued her for harassment and she went from being considered eccentric to completely nuts. These moments of poor-judgement pale in comparison to her bid to land the part of Tim Burton's Catwoman, however. After originally being cast as Vicki Vale in 1989's Batman, she fell off a horse and broke her arm, forcing her off the shoot.
When Warner Brothers were putting together the 1992 sequel, she burst into the studio wearing a homemade Catwoman suit in a majorly ill-conceived attempt to be considered for the part in Batman Returns. Needless to say, Burton wasn't swayed.
