15 Awful Films Mission Impossible Actors Want You To Forget
10. Rollerball (2002) - Jean Reno
RottenTomatoes Score: 3% The Plot: A loose remake of the 1975 sci-fi classic, Rollerball is a brutal, no-holds-barred sport in 2005 where the players (Chris Klein, LL Cool J, Rebecca Romijn) are exploited by corrupt promoter Alexi Petrovich (Jean Reno), who sees them merely as meat-shields to be torn apart in order to keep ratings high. Why It Sucks: For starters, Romijn received a Worst Supporting Actress Razzie nomination (though in honesty, her nudity is one of the few things here that actually works), while the film itself was a major disappointment coming from action legend John McTiernan. The political bite of the original is gone, it's not satirical enough, LL Cool J is annoying as hell in it (and more deserving of a Razzie nod than Romijn) and the excessive cameos are ridiculous (including the likes of Slipknot, WWE's Paul Heyman and..,Pink!?), Hell, even the Rollerball scenes themselves are largely lame (horribly edited and visually ugly), and as such what could've been an outrageous B-movie is instead boring, irritating and something everyone involved would probably rather forget. Making barely one-third of its budget back at the box office, Rollerball is a dud in every way that a movie possibly can be.
