15 Bafflingly High Rotten Tomatoes Scores You Won't Believe

15. Indiana Jones & The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull

Critical Consensus: "Though the plot elements are certainly familiar, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull still delivers the thrills and Harrison Ford's return in the title role is more than welcome." Why It's Wrong: As even the most casual Indiana Jones fan knows, Kingdom of the Crystal Skull was a tremendous disappointment. After a great marketing campaign, the movie was ruined by a nuked fridge, an overdose on poor CGI, Shia LaBeouf's presence, and an extra-terrestrial plot deemed too outlandish for even the standards of this series. Fans widely dismissed the film, considering it a dark stain on the franchise and making the term "nuked the fridge" the new "jumped the shark" in determining when a product has begun its creative nosedive. Why The Critics Liked It: For starters, critics aren't fanboys, and so aren't nitpicking the details as much, and they no doubt tried to review the movie in terms of whether your average viewer looking for some silly escapist entertainment would enjoy it. Even so, it got off very lightly.
