13. Keanu – Anna Faris Drug Shootout

Greasy Strangler
Warner Bros.

This Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele fronted comedy flew largely under the radar this year, despite a good few positive reviews. Which is a shame because the movie – which follows Rell (Peele) and his cousin Clarence (Key) and as they pose as drug dealers to rescue Rell’s cute kidnapped kitten – is actually pretty funny.

In one scene Rell, in faux drug dealer mode, makes a drop off at a fancy mansion that turns out to be owned by none other than Anna Faris. Playing a very coked-up version of herself, the dealer gets acquainted with his customer telling her ‘I loved you in House Bunny’, before she suggests a game of Truth or Dare.

Unfortunately for the drugged-up star it goes awry and ends up in a shootout, as drug-fuelled games of Truth or Dare so often do, and a samurai sword-wielding Faris gets shot in a brutally quick but hilariously hammy death scene. Props to Anna Faris for being game about mocking herself in the name of comedy.
