Depending on who you ask, the entirely first person Hardcore Henry is either a fresh idea for an action film, or a headache inducing nightmare. Since the film wasn’t much of a smash it appears audiences rejected the concept, which is a shame, since Henry had some terrific action if you could stomach the perspective.

They saved the best for last, where Henry has to fight a seemingly endless wave of henchmen on top of a roof. It starts out with fisticuffs, progresses to machine guns and finally ends with Henry injecting himself with adrenaline and maiming everyone in sight. This scene is also set to Don’t Stop Me Now by Queen, to give you an idea of the tone.

Hardcore Henry will likely become a cult classic thanks to scenes like this, which help make it one of the best video game movies ever made; despite the film not actually being based on a game.
