13. There's An Inevitable Cringe-Factor

Over the 50-plus years that the Bond series has now spanned, it's unavoidable that there's going to be a number of cringe-inducing scenes, and the franchise (particularly during the Roger Moore and Pierce Brosnan years) certainly doesn't want for them. The most memorably grating moments include Bond dressing up as a clown (pictured above), Jaws falling in love with a petite, nerdy girl, Bond's not-so-subtle plugging of the Omega watch in Casino Royale, the "Bondola", Denise Richards attempting to convince as a scientist while wearing hot pants, the invisible car in Die Another Day, and so on, and so on... The safest way to make it through these awful moments is to just have a sense of humour about it. After all, the Bond series has never been and never will be Citizen Kane, even if these moments are horrendously misjudged and rather embarrassing to watch.
