15 Dumbest Things In The Worst Summer Movie Season Ever

12. Warcraft's Cheap Costumes & Practical Sets

Warcraft Magic
Universal Pictures

There's no point questioning the gorgeous visual effects of Warcraft's Orc characters, but what the hell was up with the hilariously cheap, plastic costumes, sets and props that looked like they belonged in an Uwe Boll movie, and terrible blending of these live-action elements with CGI backgrounds?

Why It's Dumb: This movie cost $160 million, had world-class artists of all fields working on it...and yet often looked like it only cost around $40-50 million.

There's a massive disconnect between the Orc and human-based scenes in the film as a result, and it's frankly nothing short of embarrassing that the end product looked so frequently ropey.

It's a big-budget movie based on one of the most popular video game franchises of all time with a critically-acclaimed director to boot: how did this happen?
