15 Films That Hated London

7. Harry Potter And The Half Blood Prince

The Synopsis - Harry Potter and The Half Blood Prince is the sixth entry in the eight-film series, where the return of the villainous Lord Voldemort (Ralph Fiennes) has become apparent to magical society following the events of Order Of The Phoenix, where the authoritative Ministry Of Magic denied Harry's assertions that his nemesis was alive, well and keeping a low profile to take advantage of people's ignorance. With Voldemort now free to begin a new reign of terror, the film begins with Harry (Daniel Radcliffe) and company approaching their sixth year at Hogwarts uncertain as to what the future holds as a result. The Destruction - Though the Harry Potter series is predominantly sent in fictitious locations such as Hogwarts, the action does venture into non-magical (or Muggle) Britain from time to time, usually in London, where featured locations have ranged from Kings Cross Station to Tottenham Court Road. The Millennium Bridge shows up within the first couple of minutes of Half Blood Prince, where the structure that links Bankside with the City of London is randomly rent asunder by Voldemort and his cronies, presumably to suggest that non-magical society is also threatened by developments in the wizarding world.
