12. Ghostbusters- Who ya gonna call?
This is a line also made famous by the movies legendary theme song and its fair to say that its still one of the most recognisable lines in film history. Short, sharp and to the point, it is a prime example of a films marketing being put to great use. Along with the Ghostbusters logo, this catchy tagline became synonymous with the movie as it went on to become one of the most commercially successful comedies of the 1980's. As the movie became more and more successful, its tagline became like an unavoidable exercise in call-and-response where if it was heard, almost without thinking, you had to reply right away with "Ghostbusters". Very few of the taglines on this list are direct quotes from the movie itself, but in this case it clearly worked to the film's advantage, effectively giving it its own catchphrase which is still part of the common parlance even today.
