15 Horror Movies Since 2000 So Awful They'e Genuinely Horrifying

9. Sadako 3D

The Devil Inside
Kadokawa Shoten Company

The Plot:

This is a sequel to Ring, but it's actually a sequel to Spiral instead of Ring 2. Spiral is a forgotten sequel that was released alongside Ring in cinemas (don't seek it out; it's not good), so it's bizarre that a sequel to it was made.

Anyway, in this one, Sadako is ressurected through the internet in a very bizarre scheme by a vengeful artist.

Why It Sucks:

There seems to be a conspiracy, in both America and Japan, to ruin Ring as much as possible with the seemingly endless stream of ghastly sequels. Sadako 3D is one of the worst yet and is a true turkey. The film settles for bizarre sequences of terrible CGI instead of actual scares, while the story is so silly this fails even as unintentional comedy.

It is bad throughout, but it really comes to a head in one of the worst final acts to a horror film ever. The army of spider-like Sadakos which attack the heroine is honestly one of the worst things I've ever seen. Sure, we were never to expect much from a sequel to Spiral, but this does bring new meanings to the word 'Misjudged'.
