Disney's commitment to live-action remakes of their animated classics is set to reach unprecedented levels in 2019, with Tim Burton's Dumbo already out in theatres and Aladdin on the horizon, but one of the most exciting adaptations on the Mouse House's slate has barely been talked about since its first image was unveiled last year.

Mulan has made all the right moves behind the scenes since its original script caused a backlash a few years ago, promising to maintain as much of the Chinese heritage as possible and deliver a genuinely epic fantasy war film.

Disney receives a lot of flak for "cashing in" on beloved older properties and not really worrying about the quality of its remakes, but the studio seems to be making a huge effort to get Mulan right, and it could result in the best of the animated-to-live-action bunch when it releases next March.
