15 Incredible Hidden Details You Missed In 2018 Movies
8. The Hugh Jackman Easter Egg - Deadpool 2
Deadpool 2 was made for pause buttons. Director David Leitch and Ryan Reynolds packed in so many sight gags and blink-and-you'll-miss-it Easter Eggs - including those completely secret cameos by Brad Pitt and Matt Damon, rather brilliantly - that rewatching it became a necessity as they came to light.
The end of the movie also allowed Reynolds to do some hilarious housekeeping, with 'Pool travelling back in time to wipe out the X-Men Origins version of the character and also to stop Ryan Reynolds from making Green Lantern. It's one of the best sequences in any comic book movie and includes a Hugh Jackman cameo from Origins archive footage.
That's not the only reference to Jackman though, as you might expect. Elsewhere, we get to see a crude map drawn by Deadpool laying out his plans, which has mention of Prisoner 24601 on it. That, of course, is Jean Valjean's prisoner number from Les Miserables, who was played by Jackman.
