4. Science Officer Spock (Star Trek Films)
'Live long and prosper' is the catchphrase of this half-Vulcan/half-human science officer aboard the starship Enterprise. Indeed Mister Spock did originate in the original television series of Star Trek but be it that the character of Spock has appeared in past and current Star Trek films, this pointy-eared first officer to Captain Kirk makes this list. Wearing the Federation standard blue uniform signifying his placement in a science or medical position, Spock has a wide range of knowledge that spans every possible subject of science. Often seeming cold and stodgy, this is due to his half-Vulcan heritage where emotional reasoning is suppressed for that of logical decisions. This can make Spock seem distant and like a robot but that is far from the truth. Kirk's close friend, Spock's calculating thought process acts as a sound reason to the Enterprise's captain's often reckless conscience. Usually, you will not see him in a lab with white coat and glasses. Spock prefers the hands on approach when it comes to analyzing and processing new planets, cultures, and technologies. Tactical and wise, this fan-favorite plays by the books all the while contending with the occasional emergence of his emotional half-human side.
