Long before Be Our Guest, there was The Guest, a movie that announced Dan Stevens as a leading man for those who actually got to see it which, given it only made $2.4m, wasn't many people.

Following the story of a man called David who turns up at the Peterson household, claiming to be a friend of their son who died in Afghanistan, the story takes a number of interesting turns in what's an electrifying thriller from Adam Wingard.

Wingard isn't shy of paying homage to a number of classics, with the likes of Halloween having a clear imprint on the movie, but he brings enough of his own style to make this standout by offering up some slick, violent, and intense thrills bolstered by a sense of fun and a captivating performance from Stevens.
