The world rejoiced when it was announced that Sony Pictures Entertainment and Marvel Studios had come to an agreement in regards to everyones favourite wall-crawler (which isn't that big of a compliment when you consider the competition). It is truly a win-win for both companies as Sony had, admirably, tried and failed to create a truly compelling Spider-Man film. There were some great moments scattered throughout both Maguires and Garfields, but too much melodrama and a desire to rehash an origin that no one wanted to see twice ended up affecting their chances. Now they'll be turning back the clock and having Spider-Man not only be in high school, but look like he actually belongs there. Although this is probably going to be nothing more than a brief cameo, it is a moment that everyone has been waiting for. Spider-Man showing up in an MCU film is well-past overdue and he will appear right at home next to the other characters, despite having shared no previous screen time with them at all. Seeing Spider-Man in the same frame as the Avengers will have every single audience member giddy. A quick quip and a web sling away is all that Spidey needs to do to state his rightful claim as king of the MCU.
