15 Most Exciting New Movies Announced In 2019 (So Far)
8. Halloween Kills & Halloween Ends
Release: October 16th, 2020 and October 15th, 2021
Blumhouse and Universal were never going to sleep on the Halloween franchise after the huge success of 2018's revival and they've moved pretty quickly to ensure that we get not one but two more bites of Michael Myers' story in the next two years.
The most intriguing sell for the forthcoming sequels is that they will apparently wrap up the Laurie Strode and Michael Myers story, which will presumably delight Jamie Lee Curtis, since she's tried to do that a couple of times already. Unfortunately, the character's rights owners are not idiots and know that Myers is a titanic brand when it comes to guaranteeing an audience, so even with Halloween Ends as the title, this probably won't be the REAL end.
There's no plot info yet, but a press release confirmed Jamie Lee Curtis is back as Strode, along with Judy Greer as daughter Karen Nelson and Andi Matichak as granddaughter Allyson Nelson. More of the same, then, but that's not a bad thing.
