11. Oscar Isaac's Apocaylpse (X-Men: Apocalypse)

Casual moviegoers may have thought that Magneto was the ultimate bad guy for the X-Men, but the Master of Magnetism actually plays second fiddle when Apocalypse steps up to the plate. One of the first mutants, Apocalypse is a fitting nemesis for what is most likely the culmination of Bryan Singer€™s tenure with Marvel€™s mutants. A tyrant who is thousands of years old, Apocalypse believes that only the strongest should survive. Which spells trouble for those not born with the ability to butcher Whedon one-liners. Apocalypse is powerful beyond measure, his abilities allowing him to control his own body down to a molecular level and do pretty much anything. Alongside his handpicked Four Horsemen, Apocalypse is more than capable of wiping out humanity and sparing the mutants. His intentions will be validated by some of those who share the X gene and it makes for an interesting point of discussion. It will take an actor as talented as Oscar Isaac to faithfully adapt the awe that is Apocalypse, as well as help us look past the distracting makeup. Isaac has made his impression felt across numerous genres, from comedy-drama (Inside Llewelyn Davis), crime (A Most Violent Year) and sci-fi (a little ditty named Star Wars: The Force Awakens). He can switch from an empathetic presence to a commanding one like a karmic chameleon.
